What is the absolute most useful thing to buyers looking for real estate? Is it the Internet? Is it local agent knowledge? Is it local media ads? Is it the ability of your agent to be available 24/7?

Please get specific! If it's the Internet - what sites? Are blogs important? All opoinions welcome!

Thanks!

I found it to be the internet. You can do most of the research yourself - from property search to valuations and tax records.

I suppose the agent's expertise will be number two especially since I am a first time home buyer.

Thanks, Timothy! I appreciate your input. Good luck in your house hunt and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about the buying process.

In finding a property, certainly the internet is a very usefully tool for the prospective buyer.

The actual process of purchasing the home and avoiding the pitfulls of the process is where the real estate agents earn there money.
