Wow! What an experience.  I have been to other IKEA's in New Jersey, California, etc. but being able to jump in the car, shop and be back home was great.

The Atlanta IKEA store is wonderful and has all the standard fare including the game-day experience that has come to tipify this Swedish retailer. 

If you haven't yet made it to the Atlanta IKEA store I would suggest waking up early and taking in some of the Atlantic Station area and all that it has to offer. 

For those of you not graced with an IKEA in your area it is a great place to find good value furniture and accessories without paying mall style prices. 

I learned a bit about the philosophy of the company from the pricing perspective and was quite impressed.  It seems that often times the designers at IKEA start with a retail price point in their mind and then figure out engineering, source materials, etc. to arrive at a good value product that they know will sell in the stores.  Pretty radical concept, right?!!!!
