Well they say that one person can make a difference, well I think I am up for that challenge and put this phrase to the test. With the government bailout looming over head of us, it does not change the fact that people need us as Realtors now more than ever, people need, (yes I said NEED)our help and it is up to us to help them and for us to essentially help BAIL OUT them out and help them in making one of the toughest decisions either buying or selling a home in this economy!
It has to change and it has to start with one person, so I say why not me! There needs to be some compassion, caring, honesty, and trustabove all else. Is that too much to ask? I think not. I do firmly believe that it is not going to take just the government bailing us out, and by the way if they don't "BAIL us OUT" it is going to be much harder for us as agents, it will be next to impossible for anyone to get a loan, therefore no buyers, and to our sellers, no one to be able to qualify for a loan, so I feel it is going to take a MAJOR shift in the economy, and it is going to take the help of Real Estate agents like us to help that shift move along. It is a tough market, and it is even tougher for individuals to feel that there is someone out there that has their best interest at heart, but I abide to a strict CODE OF ETHICS being a Realtor, and I think that our buyers and sellers should be aware of that, we have to help clean up this mess that our economy has created, and we have to start somewhere, as I have said in previous blogs, we are going to help the economy bounce back. Realtors have a burden to carry now, as if we didnt before, but now the load is more than ever and we have to be prepared to stand up for our clients and be honest and trustworthy, and yes one person can make a difference!
I know that we can give back to our communities, it is going to have to happen one community at a time and Port St. Lucie, FL has been hit especially hard, but to bring our community back we have to work together. I have read blogs where others complain that agents are sucking up all the knowledge and information on here and not giving back, well I know that if you give, and expect nothing in return, life will treat you well, and I dont mean MONEY, that isnt everything.
I know that others disagree with me and the way that I think and that it is ok, that is what makes us unique, but agree or disagree we do have to work together and we have to exude the attitude that we can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! GOD Bless!
